Ground Staff - North East

Full Time or Part Time

Overview

We are seeking highly professional, motivated, safety conscious & flexible individuals. We can offer a full time or part time permanent position.
 
We are seeking individuals primarily based in the North East of England to cover existing services. The majority of your time will be spent working in this location however the role is mobile and you may be required to work nationwide.
 
In this role you will liaise with Train Drivers, Signallers and DCRail’s Control to ensure customer requirements are met and trains arrive/depart safely and on time.

As part of the selection process candidates will be required to attend a railway standards new entrant medical and D&A test.

References will be requested.

Key Criteria

- Candidates must hold a clean, valid UK driving licence
- Safety conscious and calm attitude in an event of an emergency situation
- Excellent concentration and observational skills
- Clear and professional communication skills to relay important safety messages
- Ground Staff must be willing to work flexibly (shift based) and be prepared to lodge away from home if required

- Freight Train ground staff or equivalent experience

Desirable Criteria

- Pre-Existing Depot Knowledge
- IT Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel + Emails)
